Agreement Overview
This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legal contract between you (“License Holder”, “you”) and Sentinel (“we”, “us”, “our”). By installing, activating, or using Sentinel or any related services, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not install, activate, or use the software.
Grant of License
Sentinel grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Sentinel under the following terms:
- Up to 3 production websites — Each Sentinel+ key may be active on up to three production websites at the same time. The subscription is £99 a year.
- Development sites — A site opened at localhost or 127.0.0.1 counts as development and does not use a production activation. A site on any other hostname uses one, including a staging site.
- Sentinel Free is separate — Free does not use this key. Sentinel+ does not replace it.
Ownership & Intellectual Property
You are purchasing a license to use Sentinel — not the software itself.
All code, branding, features, documentation, and related intellectual property remain the exclusive property of Sentinel. Nothing in this Agreement transfers ownership or grants any rights beyond what is explicitly stated.
Activation & Licensing
Sentinel uses activation-based licensing to verify and manage your subscription.
- A production website uses one activation when it is first accepted on the key. Activating that same site again does not use another.
- Each Sentinel+ key includes up to 3 production activations.
- You may release a site and use that activation on another production website. Releasing a site does not delete Plus history on that website.
- Attempting to circumvent, bypass, or manipulate activation limits is strictly prohibited.
- Licences may be revoked at our discretion in cases of abuse, fraud, or technical necessity.
Prohibited Actions
You must not, under any circumstances:
- Modify, alter, or create derivative works based on Sentinel
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to access source code
- Share, resell, sublicense, or distribute Sentinel to third parties
- Share your licence key with anyone outside your immediate team working on the licensed sites
- Upload Sentinel to public repositories, file-sharing sites, or "nulled plugin" distributors
- Use Sentinel for any illegal, malicious, or harmful purpose
- Use one Sentinel+ key on more than 3 production websites at the same time
Violation of any prohibited action results in immediate license termination without refund
Updates & Support
Sentinel+ can be downloaded and updated whether or not the key is currently recording. The key controls recording, not access to the plugin file.
If a renewal payment fails, Sentinel+ keeps recording while that payment is overdue. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Recording continues until the end of the period already paid for, and then stops. A renewal of the same subscription keeps the same key and the same sites. When the paid period has ended, or the key is revoked, Sentinel+ stops recording new changes. History already stored stays readable. Sentinel Free remains installed and keeps the activity log. Sentinel+ is an optional companion plugin, not a licence inside Free.
Refunds
Refunds are handled according to the Sentinel Refund Policy:
- Non-activated licenses: 100% refund upon request.
- Activated licenses: Evaluated on a case-by-case basis. You must provide reasonable details so we can determine whether the issue is caused by Sentinel or your environment.
Refunds are not guaranteed once a license has been activated. If fraud, chargebacks, abuse, or misuse is detected, the license may be revoked and future purchases may be blocked.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Sentinel is provided “as is” without warranties or guarantees of any kind, whether express or implied.
We cannot be held liable for:
- Website downtime or service interruptions
- Data loss or corruption
- Security breaches unrelated to Sentinel
- Conflicts caused by other plugins, themes, hosting environments, or user modifications
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Your maximum remedy, where applicable, is a refund in accordance with our Refund Policy.
Termination
We may terminate your license immediately and without notice if you:
- Violate any section of this Agreement
- Attempt to bypass license activation or restrictions
- Distribute, leak, or share Sentinel unlawfully
- Misuse Sentinel in a harmful or malicious manner
- Engage in fraudulent activity related to your purchase
Upon termination, you must immediately uninstall Sentinel+ from all environments and cease use of the companion. Sentinel Free may remain installed. No refund will be issued for licenses terminated due to violations.
Changes to This Agreement
We reserve the right to update or modify this EULA at any time. When changes are made, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document.
Continued use of Sentinel after changes have been published signifies your acceptance of the updated terms. We recommend reviewing this Agreement periodically.
