Does Sentinel Free stay free?

Yes. Plus is a companion. Free keeps the activity log, whether or not you add Plus.

How many sites are included?

Up to 3 production sites on one key. Renewing keeps that key and the sites already on it.

What counts as a local or development site?

Local and development environments do not consume a production-site activation. Sentinel+ recognises localhost, 127.0.0.1, ::1, and .local hosts. A public staging hostname uses an activation. The detail is in Licence, sites and billing.

What happens if the licence lapses?

Free continues logging. Plus stops recording new changes, incidents, file diffs, and alerts. Plus history already stored stays readable.

Where do I install it?

Download Sentinel+ from the download page and install it beside Sentinel Free. The steps are in Install and activate. Plus needs Free 1.2.2 or newer.
